My name Miss Chepkemoi. I come from Kenya. I am a computer science graduate who cares deeply about people, nature, and health. I am an advocate for sustainable healthcare development, and I started an organization (NAOSH VENTURES) to help build water tanks at healthcare centers in remote areas of Kenya that lack access to clean, safe water. I care about nature and the environment because that is where all life depends; without nature, there would be no clean air, clean water, or good health at all. I have organized and participated in many clean-up exercises dubbed SAFISHA PLANET (Safisha is a Swahili word meaning CLEAN) in towns that have huge deposits of plastic waste and educated the community to practice safer disposal methods for nonbiodegradable waste.
Last summer I participated in an exchange program in the United States under GREENHEART ORGANIZATION, where I volunteered together with 40 other global leaders across the world in garbage collection in Washington, DC, in the spirit of environmental sustainability.
In the past year, I have been actively working with the Creativity and Social Innovation Hub in Marburg where we collaborated with other stakeholders to promote sustainable and future-oriented programs.
However, I would love to continue the good work and share my knowledge and experience that I have gathered across these different sectors. It would be my pleasure to join the Federal Volunteer Service in Germany and bring a positive impact across the many sectors I have experience in, including sustainable healthcare, nature and environmental protection, culture, or even technology.
