I possess a strong interest in sports development, particularly in football coaching, supported by both practical experience and foundational training. I previously served as a coach for an amateur team during a local councillor-organized football tournament in Lagos, where I was responsible for planning training sessions, coordinating team activities, and providing guidance to players during matches. This role enabled me to develop essential competencies in leadership, communication, organization, and team management within a community-based setting.
Furthermore, I have completed an online football coaching course on Alison, through which I acquired theoretical knowledge in core coaching principles, player development, basic tactical awareness, and effective team coordination. Although the certification is currently in progress, the course has significantly strengthened my understanding of structured coaching methodologies.
My coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, inclusivity, and personal development. I am particularly motivated to use sports as a tool for social engagement, youth empowerment, and community building. I am also highly interested in the intersection between sports and environmental sustainability, and I am eager to contribute to initiatives that promote both physical well-being and environmental awareness.
