My name is Shama, I’m 23 years old and currently working as a Turkish tutor and translator at an international company. With a background in Communication—Radio, TV, and Film—I graduated in 2023 and have always been passionate about connecting with people. I speak four languages and am currently learning German, which is one of the reasons I’m particularly drawn to volunteering in Germany. During my travels across 15 countries, including Germany in 2023, I was inspired by the culture and people, and I’d love to immerse myself more deeply. I’ve lived abroad for six years, which has made me highly adaptive, flexible, and open-minded. Teaching has taught me patience, clarity, and empathy—skills I’m eager to bring into a purposeful volunteer role. I believe now is the right time in my life to contribute meaningfully, and I’m excited to offer my energy, curiosity, and commitment to a cause that makes a difference.
