My name is Jessica Jighu, I'm a Nigerian and I live in Turkey for past 3 years, I hold a degree in Public Administration and I regard social security as a human right and I am committed to ensuring that those who are entitled to Disability Assistance are able to access it whilst being treated with dignity, fairness and respect.

I'm writing to express my interest in the Federal Voluntary Service in Germany to volunteer as a Disabled assistant. I'm an expert in disability care, skilled in providing physical support, emotional support and hygienic care. Warm, responsible and organized, I'm passionate about the opportunity to provide disabled with companionship and care that meets his/her needs.

I've worked in a Disabled care home and Elderly care home for over 5 years, caring for disabled and elderly patients. In this position, I perform regular daily assistance with mobility and hygiene and keep thorough medical records. While these tasks are vital, I aim to supplement them with emotional support. I believe that building trusting relationships with patients benefits their overall wellbeing and improves their quality of life, and I bring empathy, compassion and friendliness to my patient interactions daily.

It has been my special calling to minister to disabled and to assist with my skills and support that meet their needs. I volunteered in my community for several years to support disabled and I also I attend training and courses both in Nigeria and Turkey. So, I have broad experience and skills at engaging patients in gentle activities, performing household chores, preparing nutritious meals and communicating with patients' families.
